A float made popular by the London roach pole anglers fishing the river Lea and Thames in the 19th century.
Made from swan quill cured and amber stained with a Norfolk reed centre section.
Both ends have been tipped in bone.
Whipped in black silk and finished with multiple coats of polyurethane varnish.
